Susan Connolly


Susan is a Principal with Strategic Benefit Advisors and a senior strategist for several of Strategic Benefit Advisors’ clients. She specializes in the areas of health care delivery solutions (such as narrow networks and Centers of Excellence), clinically-focused care management, well-being strategies, and compliance.

Susan joined Strategic Benefit Advisors in 2015, after retiring from a 30-year career at Mercer. During that time Susan served in several roles including Leader of the Boston Office Health & Benefits Practice, National Leader of the Specialty Consulting Practices, and National Leader of the Total Health Management Practice. In addition to these business leader positions, Susan was an active consulting Partner leading both National and Northeast region client teams.

Susan has been quoted in The Boston Globe and The Wall Street Journal. In 2015, she co-authored an article for Workspan Magazine, “Moving Beyond Wellness to Well-Being.”

Susan is a graduate of Smith College with a B.A. in Classical Languages. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston.  Susan enjoys gardening, hiking and spending time with her eleven grandchildren.
