Partner

Jay is a Partner with Strategic Benefit Advisors and, based in Atlanta, leads our South Region growth and consulting activities.  He specializes in health care strategy development and is conversant in all ancillary health and welfare benefit programs.  Jay partners with his clients to understand their unique challenges, and works collaboratively with them to develop innovative solutions to help them achieve their business objectives.

Jay recently joined SBA after a 30+ year career with Aon Hewitt, Mercer, Towers Watson and two global accounting and consulting firms, working with clients in a broad range of industries including health care, retail, consumer products, energy and financial services.   Jay earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and an MBA from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He is a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist, Chartered Financial Consultant and Certified Financial Planner®.  

Jay is active in a number of industry organizations and is a frequent author, speaker and spokesperson, having recently been quoted in such publications asBusiness Insurance, CNBC Online, Managed Care Magazine, Money Magazine and The Wall Street Journal.  He was listed in a national industry publication’s first “Power List,” as one of the 10 most influential people in our industry, and was also identified as Most Innovative Consultant in CDHC Solutions Magazine’s annual list of “CDHC Superstars” for his innovative work with account-based health plans.

For over 10 years, Jay has been a board member of Youth in Need, a non-profit agency providing residential homes, foster care case management, homeless outreach, counseling, and a variety of other programs to more than 9,000 children, teens and families in eastern Missouri.  He is also active with Covenant House, a national non-profit agency providing housing and support services to youth facing homelessness.
